Kaltura/My Media Canvas Integration Outage

Resolution:

As of this morning, the Kaltura/MyMedia integration has been repaired. Users should be able to access MyMedia through Canvas using the Account button. Users will be asked to re-authorize their account. Any questions or concerns, please contact the LTS HelpDesk and submit a ticket.

Original message:

We are currently experiencing an issue with Kaltura My Media access through the Canvas Account button. At this time, the Account > My Media button is not functioning as expected.

✅ What is still working:
Students and instructors can continue to watch and embed videos.
The ability to upload a video from the Rich Content Editor within a Canvas element (page, discussion, or assignment) should be working.
The ability to create and upload a video using Kaltura Web Recorder from within the Rich Content Editor is currently available.
The ability to upload new videos using Kaltura Capture Library is currently available; however, videos should be embedded using the My Media button found within the Rich Content Editor.

⚠️ What is affected:
Accessing videos through Account > My Media is temporarily unavailable.

The issue appears to be related to Kaltura and a change in Canvas API settings, and their technical team is investigating. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
