This morning at approximately 5:30am a testing of the building fire suppression facilities triggered a complete power outage for the data center. At this time it is unknown to CVTC facilities why the steps used for the quarterly test produced different results than in the past.
After being alerted to the outage CVTC engineers arrived on site by 6:30AM and service was restored shortly thereafter by resetting the breakers in our distribution PDU’s.
At this time there are no ongoing facilities issues and based on the root cause we are confident no more will occur.
