UWEC Network Maintenance - Aspenson Mogensen

Preemptive network maintenance is required in Aspenson Mogensen. This is to avoid an imminent, longer, unplanned service interruption. Various maintenance tasks will cause network connectivity and services to be interrupted Saturday morning between 04:00 and 04:30.

CampS and the Data Warehouse will be down for server maintenance between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Transact System Maintenance

Transact system maintenance is scheduled to take place on May 23rd. The anticipated service window is 10AM to 11PM. A follow up maintenance window on May 24th might be required.

Services that depend on this resource will be impacted for the duration of this needed maintenance.

Impacted Services:
Credit cards will not work at campus dining locations, Hilltop, Housing front desks, Print Services, Library and the T-Store.
Areas where cards/mobile are used for ID verification will need to be manually entered.
Door access and PaperCut print services will continue to work during this maintenance window.

Canvas - Degraded Performance

Canvas has updated the status of Speedgrader and the issues should now be resolved. If you are experiencing the issue still, please contact the LTS Help Desk (helpdesk@uwec.edu).

Onedrive Sign-In Cannot Type Email

Resolution:

Microsoft released Onedrive Client version 24.076.0414.0005 which fixed the issue. This version was deployed to campus 5/1/2024

ISSUE: OneDrive login - users can't type email address into login prompt after starting OneDrive from start menu. Keyboard will work fine otherwise on the computer.

SOLUTION:
I am investigating this issue but I have not found a permanent fix yet.  Reading online it looks like the version of OneDrive that was released by Microsoft this month broke this (lots of users reporting the same issue).

The easiest workaround I have for now is that when the OneDrive login prompt is open on the screen you can just click anywhere else (desktop background, start menu, etc) then click back into the OneDrive prompt and it will allow you to type.
