WISC System Internet Issues

There is currently a state-wide issue with Internet connectivity. People may experience difficulty loading some or all websites. There is currently no estimate as to when network connectivity will return to normal.

Streaming Media Portal Up

Access to playing most of the on-demand video files from the streaming media portal have been restored. Another update will follow when it is confirmed all videos are available.

Streaming Media Portal Down

Sometime during the evening of Sept 10th all on-demand video content in the streaming media portal became unavailable for an undetermined reason and remains unavailable at this time. Live video streaming remains unaffected. LTS is working to restore access to on-demand video content as quickly as possible.

D2L problems

As of 2:10 pm today, D2L performance is sluggish. You may also encounter errors. Learn@UW technologists at UW-Madison have been notified and are investigating.

Educators: Activate Your D2L Courses

Educators, please activate the D2L courses you will be using for instruction this fall. Activation instructions are available here: http://www.uwec.edu/LTS/services/software/d2l-faculty/activate.htm.

Activating D2L courses puts the links to those courses in your students' course listings. Students will see the link but will not be able to enter the course until the course start date, September 2 for most fall courses.

Desktop Alert Software Upgrade

The Alertus server software will be upgraded Tuesday evening. For a short time the system tray icon on your desktop computer may change color indicating a connection problem. Service should be restored within a few hours.

Streaming Media Portal Maintenance

The streaming media portal will be unavailable from 6:30-7:00AM, Friday, August 15th while software updates install. Users will need to clear their browsers cache for the portal website.
